Lucidworks, an AI-powered search solution provider, has acquired Cirrus10, an e-Commerce solution implementation consultancy, for an undisclosed sum. The companies have been partnering for two years, but with the acquisition, Lucidworks seeks to offer capabilities beyond search and deepen its e-Commerce expertise to create personalized customer experiences.
The Cirrus10 team will help Lucidworks build and deliver new product features designed to serve e-Commerce retailer clients. Cirrus10 already consults on implementations across more than 100 existing clients.
“The objectives of each customer, whether apparel, home goods, travel or hospitality, are unique, and we want to become a partner in understanding the strategic imperatives of those goals,” said Will Hayes, Lucidworks CEO in a statement. “Cirrus10 has been integral in moving beyond Lucidworks Fusion AI-powered search capabilities to understand and impact what brands are doing in the verticals they serve. By acquiring Cirrus10, we can go beyond technology to understand the distinct demands of these organizations and move objectives forward more effectively.”
Lucidworks has seen significant growth, recently expanding into the APAC and EMEA regions and doubling revenues in each of the last three years. In August 2019, the company secured a $100 million investment from companies including Francisco Partners and TPG Sixth Street Partners. The funding has helped the solution provider focus on building out its flagship Fusion software and enhancing its AI and data science platform. In total, Lucidworks has raised approximately $200 million.
