CBD-infused products including lotions, muscle balms and aromatherapy, supplied by cannabis company Green Growth Brands (GGB), will be on the shelves of nearly 500 American Eagle stores and available online beginning in October.
Since the passage of the Agriculture Act of 2018 last December, which legalized the sale of hemp-derived CBD, GGB has made two other wholesale agreements: with DSW and Abercrombie & Fitch, which last month announced it would sell GGB products in more than 160 stores across the U.S.
As CBD continues to garner attention for its perceived health benefits, including relief from pain, anxiety and insomnia, major retailers joining in the frenzy include CVS, Kroger, Rite Aid, Ulta Beauty, Walgreens, GNC and Vitamin Shoppe.
Additionally, GGB has signed deals with Simon Property Group and Brookfield Properties to expand the sale of its products by opening more shops in malls across the country.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with American Eagle, a leader in the specialty retail space,” said Peter Horvath, CEO of GGB in a statement. “GGB provided the expertise necessary to develop the product formulations and packaging to create a really special line of products.”
