Fabletics Makes NYC Debut With Pop-Up Store

Fabletics has opened its first New York City location with a pop-up shop in SoHo. The store includes experiential features such as a mini boxing ring and a medicine ball installation, and it harnesses mobile technology to create a seamless shopping experience:

  • OmniSuite and OmniShop technologies will allow customers to request a different size or color, check stock and receive styling tips without leaving the fitting room;
  • OmniKiosks will let loyalty program members and guests view outfit inspirations and see special member pricing; and
  • Associates will be equipped with iPod-based POS systems to help customers shop the web site and arrange for free home delivery.

The pop-up kicks off the retailer’s 2019 expansion, which will include opening 12 permanent stores in markets including Austin, Texas; Jacksonville, Fla.; Pleasanton, Calif.; Garden City, N.Y.; and King of Prussia, Pa. The retailer ultimately plans to grow to 100 locations across the U.S., up from the 27 it currently operates.
