Seeking to take advantage of a growing resale market, pre-owned designer goods reseller MARQUE Luxury has opened a New York showroom located at 261 Fifth Ave., marking the retailer’s first location in the northeast and its third on the East Coast.
Throughout the U.S. and online, MARQUE showrooms carry luxury brands, including labels such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, among others. The retailer procures authentic pre-owned designer goods through direct purchase from the public and industry-specific dealer auctions, and then sells items through online websites, online marketplaces and through various wholesale channels.
The new showroom will offer appointment-only visits to promote customer comfort and safety. The store will operate with limited capacity, disinfection between appointments, temperature checks and mandatory mask-wearing for both employees and clients.
The showroom also is open to members of MARQUE Mentor, the brand’s membership program for new entrants in the resale space that is designed to help them create content for their social media platforms and generate sales interest.
