Vera Wang Taps Wireless Network Solution To Support Global Expansion

Vera Wang has implemented the SD-Branch LAN solution from Aruba to improve its wireless network. The solution will help the retailer get stores up and running quickly and will serve as a backbone for customer service efforts.

The luxury retailer was looking for a solution that could support its growth in the coming years. Vera Wang wanted technology that could support a “cookie-cutter mentality,” allowing the chain’s worldwide wireless network to be managed without a great deal of setup, according to Stewart Ebrat, CIO at Vera Wang.

“Once we’ve deployed this to one store, we’re going to do this for all the stores, including future and international ones,” said Ebrat in an interview with Retail TouchPoints. “That gives us the flexibility across all the hardware. Everything’s in play, you plug it in and everything is manageable from the same portal.”

Ebrat noted that the solution’s flexibility will be beneficial at a time of growth and change in the company. Vera Wang, which is aiming for 25% annual growth over the next several years, named Peggy Eskenas as President in May 2018.

The technological upgrade will carry customer service benefits as well, according to Ebrat. The solution will help Vera Wang track foot traffic, returns and similar metrics, allowing the company’s creative team to fine-tune its efforts. Additionally, the improved network will help empower associates through devices and help them better meet the needs of shoppers.

“We know it’s going to be a huge benefit that’s going to help Vera Wang grow,” said Ebrat.
