Best Buy Promotes VP Of Enterprise And Merchandise Finance To CFO

Best Buy has named Matt Bilunas, the company’s current Vice President of Enterprise and Merchandise Finance, as its new CFO, effective July 29.

In his current position, Bilunas has been responsible for Best Buy’s strategic planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and capital planning. He has 13 years of experience with the electronics retailer in positions including Director of Territory Finance, Senior Director ofEnterprise Finance and Vice President of E-commerce and Marketing Finance.

Bilunas will be filling the role that had been held by the company’s previous CFO, Corie Barry, who assumed the CEO post last month.

“Matt has been a key finance leader for a number of years and has played a very important role in creating and implementing our growth strategy,” Barry said. “After working closely with him for more than a decade, I trust him and am completely confident that his experience, skills and commitment to the company’s continued growth make him the perfect choice for this role.”

Other Best Buy leadership changes that have taken place this year include the promotion of Jason Bonfig to Chief Merchandising Officer and Mike Mohan, the Chief Operating Officer, adding president to his title. Todd Hartman, Best Buy’s Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, was elevated to general counsel.
