To provide its customers with speedy, safe delivery during the COVID-19 epidemic, Michaels is rolling out contactless same-day delivery. The service launches today in 10 Southern states and will be available nationally the following week.
Michaels’ contactless delivery protocol requires the person making the delivery to place packages at a customer’s door, knock or ring the doorbell and return immediately to the vehicle.
To qualify for dame-day delivery, customers must be located within a 10-mile radius of participating stores and place their orders by 1 p.m. The fee for the service is $14.99 for orders totaling less than $100 and $7.99 for orders of $100 or more.
Beginning April 17, contactless same-day delivery will be available at select Michaels locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, followed by the remaining states the week of April 19. If the service is available at a customer’s location, the same-day delivery option will appear at checkout. Additionally, Michaels will continue to offer its e-Commerce ship-to-home service and curbside pickup at participating stores.
