Recognizing that more of its customers are shopping online this year, Nordstrom has ramped up the digital components of its Anniversary Sale. Additionally, the annual sale, which will feature more than 10,000 items, will include an expanded assortment of loungewear, activewear and cozy home items for 2020.
The sale begins Aug. 19 for all customers and runs through Aug. 31, but Nordy Club members will have access beginning Aug. 13, with even earlier access for higher-tier members of the loyalty program.
Key digital elements that are debuting this year include:
- An Anniversary Sale Preview Site that went live on July 24, giving shoppers the opportunity to build their wish lists and check out more quickly when the sale starts. The preview will feature an interactive, personalized shopping experience based on the customer’s shopping history.
- Customers can book a virtual styling appointment, browse curated Looks and use the Stylist Chat feature to talk with a stylist within the Nordstrom app.
- In addition to building their Wish Lists, shoppers can turn on a feature that notifies them if a previously unavailable has been restocked.
- When items are not available, a new recommendation tray feature will surface similar items on the unavailable item’s product page.
The sale will include items in the Women’s, Men’s, Kids, Home, Beauty and Designer categories, and will feature exclusive deals from brands such as Frame Denim, Good American, Madewell, Le Labo and La Mer. Shoppers can opt for curbside pickup of their online orders.
