Built on a virtual platform just a few years ago, Resident offers four different types of direct-to-consumer (DTC) mattress brands-in-a-box. In part because “everybody needs to sleep,” the brand’s online sales have been increasing during the COVID crisis, noted Co-Founder Eric Hutchinson.

Hutchinson outlines how DTC brands can benefit from an “accelerated digital consumer world, he said. “As consumers are rapidly migrating their shopping patterns online, they are looking to discover new products. Those products that are value-oriented are doing really well.”
