Grocery Loyalty is Changing — But 32% of Shoppers Still Seek Deals

Most modern grocery shoppers don’t feel that loyalty is about choosing one brand or one retailer exclusively. Rather, 29% feel loyal to the retailer they choose to shop with most often, 27% are loyal to a preferred company but will shop with others, and 24% feel loyalty is having a retailer that’s among their top choices when deciding where to shop.

However, there are still ways to keep shoppers coming into a grocery store more consistently. Nearly one-third (32%) look for good sales and promotions when deciding where to shop, while 25% want high quality and fresh foods and 21% seek a good selection of products.
