Hopping on the ‘Barbiecore’ Train: Retailers Incorporate Hot Pink into Branding

It's a Pink World infographic from VistaPrint.

The impact of the Barbie movie on both pop and business culture continues to grow. VistaPrint analyzed more than 600,000 logos created through its design service and found that the proportion of pink logos has increased 46% year over year. The color is most prominent in brand and design elements in the food and retail categories.

“While used regularly by many women’s apparel brands, pink can also be perfect for smaller, niche retailers competing against the big players who tend to favor red (think Target, Walgreens, etc.) as it helps them stand out from the crowd and emphasizes their unique offerings,” said Patrick Llewellyn, VP of Digital and Design Services at VistaPrint.
