Pet Valu is partnering with commercetools, Google Cloud and Deloitte to drive its digital commerce transformation.

The Canadian specialty pet retailer implemented commercetools through the Google Cloud marketplace and has successfully modernized its digital architecture in just under a year. The composable commerce platform is empowering Pet Valu to build scalable solutions, accelerate speed to market for best-of-breed features and capabilities and improve the overall site experience to keep pace with the needs of pet lovers nationwide. Long term, commerce tools will help the retailer meet growing shopper demand, achieve its omnichannel growth goals and scale targets across all banners.

Commercetools on Google Cloud gives us the performance, flexibility and scalability needed to capture a greater share of the Canadian pet retail market.”

Google Cloud has provided a scalable, flexible and secure cloud infrastructure for Pet Valu over the course of its transformation, helping establish a solid foundation for future expansion. The Deloitte team played a critical strategic and tactical role in the process, assembling “the right team with the right experience” to bring the retailer’s vision to life “in an accelerated timeline without compromising on quality,” according to a statement from Ashish Bhambhani, Deloitte Commerce Lead Partner.
