Walmart will add five pet services centers in Georgia and Arizona, building on the success of the Dallas, Ga. pilot location that opened in September 2023, with plans to scale the model to additional markets in the future.

Additionally, Walmart will officially launch its Walmart+ benefit with Pawp on Oct. 18, an online pet care service providing program members free 24/7 access to Pawp’s team of veterinary professionals via text or video. The retailer also recently expanded its Pet Pharmacy Services to offer greater convenience for pet parents requiring prescriptions, which can be delivered to their doorstep or filled in-store.

“Walmart understands that pets are family, and we’re proud to be a trusted destination for our pet parents,” said Kaitlyn Shadiow, VP of Merchandising for Pets at Walmart U.S. in a statement. “Our Dallas, Ga. customers have shown us how much they value the affordable, convenient pet care solutions our first Walmart Pet Services center brought them. We’re excited to bring Walmart Pet Services centers to more markets and help meet our customers’ pet needs in one convenient destination.”

The five new Pet Services centers will be located in Cumming and Alpharetta, Ga. and Glendale, Chandler and Mesa, Ariz.
