ShopperTrak And shopkick Partner To Create Comprehensive Beacon Solution

a-shopkick logoShopperTrak, a provider of location-based analytics solutions, is partnering with shopping app company shopkick to develop a beacon and analytics offering designed to empower retailers to engage in-store shoppers and enhance the overall brand experience.

As part of the agreement, ShopperTrak’s product suite will integrate with shopBeacon hardware from shopkick. By combining interior analytics with beacons, retailers can access actionable and anonymized data that helps them better understand in-store shopping behaviors. With these insights, retailers can, in turn, to refine in-store strategies and operations so they meet and exceed customer expectations. A number of retailers are beta-testing the solution. It will be available to all retailers in late 2015.

Retailers can use the shopBeacon network to engage with shoppers through their own branded apps and deliver more relevant rewards and experiences. ShopBeacons give retailers access to their own app users as well as the shopkick app. More than 10 million people currently use the app to check in and acquire rewards.

As of April 2015, shopBeacons are deployed in more than 8,000 stores, including Macy’s and American Eagle Outfitters. These retailers use the technology to tout location-specific deals, discounts, recommendations and rewards as customers enter the store.

“We see this partnership with ShopperTrak as a way to scale and enhance our value proposition by providing our users with access to even more stores,” said Alexis Rask, CRO, shopkick. “We want to be the most convenient, all-in-one shopping app for our users, improving their overall trip each time.”
