Bonanza Leverages Pitney Bowes Solution To Streamline Shipping

1-bonanzaSeeking to streamline its fulfillment processes, online marketplace Bonanza will adapt Pitney Bowes’ cross-border Borderfree Marketplace solutions and shipping application programming interface for domestic shipping.

“We are excited to be partnering with Bonanza to deliver an uncomplicated e-Commerce experience for U.S. entrepreneurs so they can grow their businesses,” said Lila Snyder, EVP and President, Global E-Commerce for Pitney Bowes. “Through our API technologies we can help Bonanza connect their sellers to their buyers around the world seamlessly and completely as well as better manage their customer relationships.”

Bonanza will employ the Pitney Bowes technology to allow its U.S. sellers to expand their selling opportunities to more than 100 countries. In addition, sellers will have access to the Pitney Bowes shipping interface for first-mile support, helping to streamline the process of shipping products to buyers in the U.S. Sellers can chat online in real time with buyers on the site and use a variety of sales tools, including newsletters.

The application calculates all costs upfront for each international order including duties, taxes and shipping fees, which are guaranteed in real time at the checkout by Pitney Bowes. For international transactions, U.S. retailers will only have to list items on Bonanza’s web site; if an international buyer decides to purchase an item, the U.S. seller ships the item to a Pitney-managed distribution center in the U.S. The center then handles everything required to send the item to the buyer, including country-specific export compliance and customs documentation.
