Coupon Offers Would Motivate 72% Of Consumers To Shop SMB Retailers

Believe it or not, old-fashioned print advertising still can play a key part in the holiday shopping experience. As many as 44% of consumers who view these ads make an online purchase from the retailer online; and even more, 71%, use a featured coupon as part of an online buy.

Smaller retailers can benefit from jumping on the coupon train (either in print or digital format): up to 72% of shoppers say they would shop more often if they were offered coupons. In general, coupons and discounts still exert a powerful influence during the holiday season: 55% of consumers won’t purchase a product without a discount (even if it’s at the top of their holiday shopping list).
