Macy’s to Sell Gap Sleepwear and Intimates; Academy Adds L.L.Bean Merchandise

Gap sleepwear and intimates are being sold at Macy's

In a first-ever partnership between two retail icons, Macy’s will carry an exclusive collection of sleepwear, underwear and intimates for men and women from Gap. The assortment, which will feature exclusive designs and colorways priced from $12.50 to $79.95 online, will be available online, on the Macy’s mobile app and at select stores nationwide.

“This launch is an opportunity to amplify the Gap brand and deliver must-have essentials in comfortable, breathable fabrics to men and women across the U.S.,” said Adrienne Gernand, President of B2B and International Commerce at Gap Inc. in a statement.

Centric Brands will design, produce and distribute the Gap products to be sold at Macy’s through a partnership facilitated by Gap’s licensing agency, IMG.

L.L.Bean, another storied name in the industry, will make a selection of its products available in-store and online at Academy Sports + Outdoors. Curated around the shared joy of the outdoors, Academy will carry products including polos, backpacks, men’s and women’s apparel and the iconic Bean Boots.

“Academy Sports + Outdoors is dedicated to making quality sporting goods and lifestyle brands accessible to our customers for their sports and outdoor passions,” said Matt McCabe, EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer at Academy in a statement. “By adding L.L.Bean to our in-store and online assortment, we’re growing the opportunity for more customers to get outside and have more fun.”
