The solution will initially be launched in 200 stores, but could expand to all 500+ stores based on initial results of the platform’s success, according to the company. New York & Company team members will leverage the cloud-based software on desktops and mobile devices to evaluate, select and hire potential employees for all store positions.

Using PeopleAnswers, New York & Company can establish the “Behavioral DNA” of the organization by collecting data on existing staff members. The information is consolidated to create custom “Performance Profiles” for each role. All applicants are compared against these profiles, helping the retailer choose the best candidates for specific positions.
Overall, this new process will provide New York & Company with a more consistent employee selection process, the company predicts. Additionally, PeopleAnswers will help the retailer track employee performance more thoroughly, and identify team members who are eligible for promotions.
Retailers including BJ’s Wholesale Club, Foot Locker, Macy’s and RadioShack, currently use the PeopleAnswers software to augment employee hiring and management practices.
