The Nov. 11 opening of Nike SoHo, a five-floor, multi-sport, digitally connected store in a trendy Manhattan neighborhood, has the brand leading a lively chorus of “I Love New York”. The Nike #NYMade campaign features celebrities with special ties to the city, such as Serena Williams, Nas and Bella Hadid, spotlighted in outdoor and digital marketing as well as live events throughout New York.
The store will feature a range of new products, including the Gyakosou collection, the “What the Kyrie,” and the launch of collaboration between Nike and designer John Elliott. Additionally, a special basketball court designed by the artist KAWS, a giveback to the city, will be unveiled on November 10 at Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
“We’re celebrating this city and the sport and energy that drives it through our best athletes and products,” said Alero Akuya, Senior Brand Director for Nike New York in a statement. “Nike understands better than anyone that if you prove yourself here, you’re New York Made.”
