For 4/20, the day that Manhattan streets are supposed to reek of weed, iconic rolling papers brand Zig-Zag will sponsor the Cannabis Now Official 4/20 Countdown Celebration in Times Square, kicking off at 3 p.m. that day.
Additionally, at the Charlie Fox dispensary in Times Square, the brand will debut “Zig-Zag Through the Years,” an immersive installation featuring vintage packaging from the brand — which is more than 145 years old — as well as cultural artifacts tracing Zig-Zag’s evolution through the decades.
“Being in Times Square — the heartbeat of the world — on this meaningful day is the perfect moment to honor the incredible journey of our community,” said Eugenio Garcia, Founder and CEO of Cannabis Now Media in a statement.
As part of the celebration, the Zig-Zag orange branding also will be featured on billboards and promoted via street teams on April 20. Additionally, Zig-Zag will unveil its newest product, Zig-Zag Organic Hemp Cones, an eco-conscious pre-rolled option crafted from 100% organic hemp. These plant-based non-GMO cones offer a sustainable way for users to enjoy their favorite blends.
