[24]7.ai has named Brent Bowman as its new CFO. Bowman will support the chatbot solution provider’s continued financial growth and will report to CEO PV Kannan.
Bowman has more than 30 years of financial management experience, most recently as VP of Finance and CFO of Intel’s Programmable Solutions Division. He joined Intel through its $16.7 billion acquisition of Altera Corp., where Bowman had served as VP Corporate Controller and VP of Finance.
The solution provider handles more than 1.5 billion consumer conversations, and is introducing new chatbot capabilities. Its core AI-powered virtual agent, AIVA, now offers Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support, and the company provides a 60-day chatbot service that follows up the trial by analyzing and making recommendations for further shopper journey automation.

However, [24]7.ai also has faced a recent setback: between Sept. 27 and Oct. 12, 2017, the credit card information of some Best Buy, Sears and Kmart customers was exposed when [24]7.ai was hit by a data breach. Fewer than 100,000 Sears and Kmart shoppers were affected, while Best Buy didn’t release official numbers.
