Hudson’s Bay has tapped Liz Rodbell, who had served as the retailer’s President from 2013 to 2017, as its new CEO and President, effective Dec. 1, 2023. In her previous stint with the company, Rodbell also was President of Lord & Taylor, following roles as EVP of Merchandising and Chief Merchant for both divisions of the company. Rodbell will replace Sophia Hwang-Judiesch, who is leaving the President post to pursue another opportunity.

“I am absolutely thrilled to rejoin Hudson’s Bay,” said Rodbell in a statement. “My focus, first and foremost, is on the customer — ensuring we have the most relevant assortment, strong brand partners, and an overall experience that is inspiring and relevant to our shoppers.”

Additionally, Michael Culhane has been appointed COO and CFO of Hudson’s Bay. Culhane has been the CFO of HBC LP since 2020.
