Williams-Sonoma, Inc., a provider of high-end home goods, today announced the implementation of SuiteCommerce from NetSuite to aid in international growth plans, according to a company press release.

With Williams-Sonoma expanding into Australia, the retailer is leveraging the SuiteCommerce multichannel retail and business management platform to power new e-Commerce storefronts for four brands: Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and West Elm. Leveraging the cloud-based ERP and CRM solutions from NetSuite, Williams-Sonoma is able to reduce infrastructure investments and accelerate time to value, according to a company press release. The CRM offering will help improve customer care center sales and support functions, while the ERP capabilities will help manage orders and inventory, as well as track order reconciliation, fulfillment-based revenue recognition, and financial reporting.

NetSuite Introduces New Cloud Manufacturing Solution

At the NetSuite SuiteWorld user group event in San Jose, California, the company today unveiled a new solution designed to help manufacturers keep pace with the continual evolution of cloud computing and cloud-based solutions.

NetSuite for Manufacturing was created to offer organizations a variety of tools and capabilities to manufacture, forecast, price, as well as track and schedule products. Functionality available in the manufacturing suite includes: availability to promise (ATP), standard cost, work-in-process (WIP), and routings.

NetSuite also has developed partnerships with 3D Design and Product Lifecycle Management companies, which will provide manufacturing customers with resources to manage the entire product lifecycle — from design to delivery — right in the cloud. In turn, organizations can focus more on creating quality products at high margins, and better adapting to shifts in the market.
