Nordstrom Promotes Meden To CMO

1nordtsrom

Two Nordstrom execs are moving on up in the company. Scott Meden has been promoted to Executive VP and CMO, and Kristin Frossmo was named Executive VP of Nordstrom’s shoe division.

Meden, who joined Nordstrom in 1985, held numerous management and buying positions in the company, including his most recent position as Executive VP and General Merchandise Manager of the Shoe Division. In his new role, Meden will be responsible for helping the company “better leverage its marketing efforts,” said Nordstrom Co-President Pete Nordstrom. Eden will replace Brian Dennehy, who recently left the company.

“Through Scott’s 31-year history with Nordstrom, he’s had an impressive breadth of experiences and success as both a great leader and merchant,” he said in a statement. “He understands the brand DNA of Nordstrom and our commitment to serving customers as well as, if not better than, anyone.”

Frossmo joined the company as a salesperson in the men’s shoe department, and took on increasingly responsible roles during her 28-year tenure at Nordstrom — the most recent being Divisional Merchandise Manager for the Women’s Specialized Division.

“Kristin’s great diversity of experience over her past 28 years here at Nordstrom and the fact that she has worked in almost every area of our shoes division make her well-suited for this position, which supports one of our most important and brand-defining divisions in the company,” said Nordstrom in a statement. “From buying to merchandising, to store management and our private label group, her extensive knowledge of our business, product and taking care of the customer will serve Nordstrom well.”
