Wayfair Promotes Marketing Insider to CMO

Wayfair

Wayfair has announced that Chief Product and Marketing Officer Ed Macri will retire from the company this year. Bob Sherwin, who has worked alongside Macri for the last eight years and currently serves as VP of Marketing, will assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

Wayfair is the parent company of a collection of online home goods retailers that include its namesake website as well as Joss & Main, AllModern, Birch Lane and Perigold.

As part of the transition, the Wayfair marketing team will be rolled into Wayfair’s commercial division under Steve Oblak, Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, Sherwin will report directly to Oblak.

Macri joined Wayfair in 2007. In a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, he helped build Wayfair’s marketing organization, including a proprietary advertising technology stack and crucial industry partnerships. He will remain a part of the Wayfair leadership team through June 30, 2021 to support the transition.
