MomentFeed Mobile Enables Local Social Marketing

Most retailers are responding to shifting consumer behaviors with social strategies that connect with target consumers from various touch points, including mobile. But national retailers with numerous store sites are challenged to deliver localization by managing, updating and generating increased social communications across individual locations.

A new social marketing platform from MomentFeed, specifically built for the mobile paradigm, is designed to help store managers and franchisees manage and enhance social-mobile engagement at the local level. Launched October 2012, MomentFeed Mobile offers retailers the option of providing local access to any part of their MomentFeed accounts, allowing store managers and franchisees to engage with local customer communities across Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram, and Twitter directly from the mobile app.

For example, managers can view, “Like” and/or comment on location-specific Instagram photos and/or Foursquare tips, and view real-time Foursquare check-ins then respond to the most valuable customers. Retailers can share the best customer content to Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter.

“MomentFeed Mobile scales social at the local level,” Rob Reed, Founder and CEO of MomentFeed, told Retail TouchPoints. “Store managers can use their iPhones to scroll through customers’ Instagram photos tagged to their locations then just tap the screen to share locally relevant content with the retailer’s Facebook fans. Just a few minutes of doing this every day will enhance Facebook page management and also increase social engagement both locally and across a global chain or retail brand.”

Customer service also is enriched, said Reed, with improved content relevancy, one-to-one interactions and real-time social-mobile responses to shifting consumer behaviors.
