Swipely Combines Card Processing With Business Intelligence

Local businesses transacting more than $30,000 in monthly credit card sales can turn processing expenses into marketing investments with Swipely, a payment marketing platform from Swipely, Inc. The solution allows merchants to accept payments in the traditional manner, while simultaneously collecting key customer data.

With the Swipely platform, each card that a merchant swipes automatically builds a CRM customer database. The embedded Swipely analytic and marketing tools reveal, for example, which card users are new versus repeat customers; which are top spenders and when they normally visit; and how to contact and reward top customers to keep them coming back. Other capabilities include a “Best Customers List” that ranks merchants’ top 100 customers by total amount spent for all time and provides a one-click customer history and profile details.

The Swipely platform works with most POS systems, including those already installed, and with the credit/debit cards customers already use. The solution costs retailers no more than they now pay for card processing: Swipely will match merchants’ current processing fees. The analytics, marketing tools, customer insights and loyalty reward programs are delivered at no additional cost.

A Campaign Insights feature, added in Spring 2013, provides a comprehensive view of ― and connection between ― online marketing, in-store revenue and customer reviews tied to specific campaigns. Campaign Insights allows merchants to:

  • Measure how event-based campaigns impact sales;
  • Show related Twitter and Facebook marketing in the context of campaign sales results;
  • Attribute Yelp and Google reviews from customers during the campaign period; and
  • Monitor repeat customer business, after campaigns conclude.
