90% of Americans Follow at Least One Influencer

Influencers are still popular, with nine out of 10 Americans following at least one influencer. Additionally, eight out of 10 people consider social media influencing to be a real job, and 63% would quit their day jobs if they thought they could make it as an influencer.

That’s not just a pipe dream —41% believe they have what it takes to become a successful influencer. Key reasons for pursuing this path include money (25%), self-expression (20%) and following one’s passion (20%).
