Black Friday Motivates 54% Of Americans To Shop

Out of a population of 325 million Americans, more than half — 174 million — went shopping at some point during the five days from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday 2017, spending an average of $335 each. On Black Friday itself, mobile dominates digital sales: the channel accounted for 64% of visits in 2017, up from 54% the previous year.

E-Commerce has been the growth generator for Black Friday during the past decade: From 2007 to 2017, online revenue increased 341.95%, hitting $2.36 billion last year.
