Coupon Use Skews High Among Online Grocery Shoppers

Nearly two thirds (65%) of online grocery shoppers always or very often use coupons, compared to 45% of all consumers. These e-Grocery shoppers also are over-represented among those loading coupons onto their loyalty/frequent shopper cards, at 60% vs. 40% of all consumers.

Who is the online grocery shopper?

  • 77% are aged 18 to 44;
  • The majority are male;
  • 22% are Hispanic;
  • They are likely to have children in the household; and
  • They have an average household income of $80,900.
