Since launching its retail media network, RedMedia, in September 2023, Hy-Vee has been focused on building out its media offerings and capabilities. Now, to support this long-term growth vision, the grocery retailer has hired a new EVP and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), who also will act as President of RedMedia.

Jessica Hendrix will begin her tenure on April 16, reporting directly to Hy-Vee President Donna Tweeten. The company’s current CMO, Anna Stoermer, will transition into the Chief Merchandising Officer role.

Hendrix will leverage her nearly 25 years of experience in retail, shopper marketing and business development to oversee Hy-Vee’s marketing and drive RedMedia’s strategic operations. Most recently, she served as President and CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi X, a full-service agency within Publicis Groupe. She led a client team that partnered with top food and CPG brands, including Dreyer’s, Kraft, Procter & Gamble and Smucker’s

“I truly believe bringing a leader of Jessica’s caliber on board at Hy-Vee is going to take our integrated marketing strategies to the next level,” said Jeremy Gosch, CEO of Hy-Vee in a statement. “The talent and experience we have in this area is second to none, and with Jessica at the helm, I’m confident this team will bring even more value to our brand marketing efforts, the positioning of our image, and the advanced development of our retail media network.”
