Home décor and furniture chain Z Gallerie has been relaunched by its new owner, Karat Home, after filing for bankruptcy in late 2023. The brand was purchased by the furniture manufacturer for $7.2 million in early 2024, and Karat Home immediately relaunched the Z Gallerie website while promising stores in 2025. That promise that is now coming to fruition.
The “grand reopening” of Z Gallerie (as Karat Home is framing it) includes an enhanced online shopping experience as well as plans to reestablish the brand’s physical presence and the launch of a membership program. As this “bold new chapter” in the brand’s history begins, Scarlett Fan, owner of Karat Home, said in a statement that the relaunched Z Gallerie aims to “inspire a new generation of customers with exclusive collections, a refreshed digital presence and a renewed commitment to quality and accessibility.
“Z Gallerie is about more than furniture — it’s about creating spaces that inspire and tell a story,” Fan added. “This grand reopening represents our dedication to honoring the brand’s legacy while introducing a bold, modern vision for the future. With our enhanced shopping experience and strategic retail expansion, we are ensuring that customers can engage with our brand in ways that best suit their lifestyles.”
Reopening Includes New Stores, Membership Program, Free Design Services
A Z Gallerie warehouse outlet store is set to open in Gardena, Calif. in late March, featuring exclusive deals while also supporting community recovery efforts following the LA wildfires by offering affordable home furnishings and making significant donations to local relief initiatives. This will be followed by a pop-up store in Texas in September 2025, with Dallas or Houston under consideration as the locale.

In tandem with these improvements and additions, Z Gallerie also is launching a new membership program designed to reward loyal customers with exclusive benefits. Upcoming features in the program will include wish list functionality and buy now, pay later options. Additionally, Z Gallerie will begin to offer all customers free personalized design services to help shoppers curate their dream home.
New Collections, Collaborations in the Cards
As a further signal of the brand’s “new era,” Z Gallerie has released its first seasonal collection since its acquisition. The Spring Collection features more than 250 new arrivals that “embody fresh, modern elegance.” The company said that exclusive designer collaborations also will continue to be central to the brand’s strategy, such as its ongoing collaboration with Nikki Chu, which first launched in 2021. Plans for limited-edition collections also are in the works.
