Omnichannel retailer solution provider GK has launched scanless checkout through GK Go, part of its CLOUD4RETAIL service suite. The solution is designed to enable contactless in-store experiences using Shekel Product Aware shelves, which recognize the products taken off the shelves, and Hitachi’s 3D LiDARs, which associate the items to the relevant shopper.
Shoppers can use an app to see all relevant information about their basket as they shop, including items, price, additional product info, total cost so far, and promotions and coupons that have been redeemed. Additionally, GK Go includes the option to let shoppers opt in for real-time offers and personalization based on preferences, basket content, shopping history, location in the store and other attributes.
GK Go was created with flexibility in mind and can be used in both staffed and autonomous stores. The just walk out technology has the capability to accept card or cash payments at a payment tower, on a consumer’s mobile phone and at a staffed checkout.
