Barnes & Noble to Host Paper Source Shops this Holiday Season

Paper Source Barnes & Noble shop-in-shop

Paper Source will launch a new shop-in-shop experience in two Barnes & Noble stores this holiday season in the first collaboration of the two retail brands, which are both owned by Elliott Management.

Paper Source currently operates 136 stores nationwide alongside its ecommerce business. The company filed for bankruptcy in March 2021 citing “sustained damage” from the pandemic and emerged from Chapter 11 two months later when it was purchased by Elliot Management, which had acquired Barnes & Noble in 2019.

The first Paper Source shop-in-shop will open Nov. 19 in Hingham, Mass., with a second to follow in Charlotte, N.C. on Nov. 22. Occupying more than 2,000 square feet within the Barnes & Noble stores, the shop-in-shops will feature 1,200+ products from Paper Source’s collection of greeting cards, stationery, wrapping paper, crafts and gifts, including a robust holiday assortment and more than 500 Paper Source exclusive products.

In addition to the shop-in-shop pilot, Paper Source seasonal product is being featured in more than 100 Barnes & Noble stores nationwide, as well as online.

“With our shared heritage in paper and a commitment to nurturing creativity, it is a natural fit to partner with Barnes & Noble to explore new retail experiences,” said Jenica Myszkowski, CEO of Paper Source in a statement. “Our customers will love being able to find their favorite Paper Source products at Barnes & Noble, and we can’t wait to bring this experience to more stores.”
