Nordstrom Opens 21 Store-in-a-Store INDOCHINO Experiences as it Grows Brand Partnerships

Nordstrom will open 21 INDOCHINO store-in-a-store shops across the U.S. by early July 2021, expanding INDOCHINO’s physical presence to nearly every major market in the country. The locations will offer personalized fitting and suiting services for shirts, chinos and outerwear.

The experience of shopping at the store-in-a-store will closely mirror the experience of INDOCHINO’s 50 full-sized showrooms. Customers will work directly with INDOCHINO Shop Salespeople to choose the right fabrics and customization options, including lapels, buttons, pockets, lining and monogramming.

Purchases are custom-made to fit the customer’s measurements and shipped directly to their home in two to three weeks. Nordstrom will offer complimentary in-store alterations for INDOCHINO customers as an added service.

“We have long admired INDOCHINO as a leader in made-to-measure suiting and apparel and we are excited to bring the Nordstrom customer a new bespoke experience in our stores,” said Shea Jensen, EVP, GMM Women’s and Men’s Ready to Wear at Nordstrom in a statement. “As we continue to expand our offering within our men’s category, we are always thinking about how we can best serve a wide range of customers. Through this partnership we will provide an approachable and convenient way to shop, whether it be for work, special occasions or everyday wardrobe essentials.”

Nordstrom has been emphasizing brand partnerships and store-in-a-store experiences to draw customers back to its brick-and-mortar locations post-COVID. The retailer also formed a similar partnership with Tonal, opening 40 shops in 20 states, each equipped with a Tonal exercise machine that shoppers can try out for a full demo. Additionally, select Nordstrom locations now carry Casper products, including mattresses, pillows, sheets and weighted blankets.
